Hello everyone, I am new here. I would like to start by pointing out I am not a fan of the device. Maybe being forced to use the device is not the best place to start, and I am older, but this thing does not impress me at all. I will state the things I don't like, and maybe someone out there will have some input:
1) I call this thing my tamagotchi because the battery drains out nearly every night. Like a tamagotchi, you have to keep it fed or it dies. I wake up, it is off. Recharging is getting ridiculous. Not to compare, but my Nokia 9500 goes days and days between charges, and I still use it over the Q, and use it alot.
2) dialing 1-800-eat-crap; how, when you call a company, do not know the extension of the person, and have to type out the last name of a person, do you do this on the Q? Is there a way or method? Or is this what I consider a HUGE oversight by the makers of this POS (pile of scrap)?
3) Why, when the batteries do run out, and you charge it, does a stupid graphic come up of a battery, to burn into the screen, instead of simply turning itself on as the power becomes available? Then, once charged, you go through too many steps to turn the device on.
4) yes, occasionally I have to use it while driving. How can anyone find the # key, or anything else in a pinch?
5) When it finishes charging, and the keyboard is locked, you have to unlock the keyboard to simply say OK - the charging is done? This magnifies the damn pain felt at feeding this oversize tamagotchi every night, now doesn't it?
6) Again, coming from a Nokia 9500, how does one move about the internet without a mouse and cursor. Who said this device can surf the internet is the same guy that would try real surfing with an ironing board.
7) What does the blue "M" button at the top of the device do? I press it, and nothing. Am I not pressing hard enough? Was this logo necessary? That should have been the "charge full" button.
8) The screen is always exposed. I need to carry this thing in a purse or something? A grown man having to carry a pocket protector for his precious little tamagotchi? The Nokia 9500 closes like a notebook computer, the LARGE WIDE screen protected until needed.
9) I'm upper forties in age, and the keys are way too small, but I bet my daughter would like it. As a business tool, it is a joke. I just have to figure out how to get the new Nokia E90.
