Default Stereo headsets...

I've been reading about A2DP and was wondering two things:
1) Does the Moto Q have this feature?
2) Is there anyone out there who is using stereo headsets with this phone? If so, how is the sound?

Currently I am using the Plantronics Voyager PL510 headset.
I read somewhere this is an app out there that removes the three second delay in connecting a call once the call has been answered.

Just wondering, thanks.

Yes, the Q supports A2DP. The sound will probably depend on the quality of the headset (I assume you're only referring to Bluetooth stereo headsets) and your hearing.

I have a Gold Lantern headset and the sound is OK, although there seems to be an occasional delay (maybe 1-2 seconds) where I miss the first part of a song. I don't use the headset too much, though.

Is there an adapter for 3.5mm?

Also, is there a way to play sounds through a headset instead of speaker?

The first adapter I bought wouldn't work because it was a plain stereo adapter. (3 bands) For the Q you need one with 4 bands as the 2.5 plug is set up for stereo and a mike ie. headset. The other will work kinda if you plug it in partially and don't jiggle it. I tried taping it in place but didn't work very well so I bought the correct one and all is good although I only use bluetooth mostly.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to open the packages and try them in the store before I take them home.

Default Playing Sounds Over a Headset

If you're connecting to the headset jack, I believe that all sounds routed to the speaker are played through the headset instead.

If you're using a Bluetooth headset, the sounds are routed to the headset by default, although you can turn off that behavior for system sounds, like alarms and music (I did).

Well I figured it out, you have to set the sound profile to headset, then it will automatically play through the headset when you attach it. But not for everything, unfortunately.

Most Windows Mobile devices route all audio through the headset jack if you connect a wired headset.

If you're using a Bluetooth headset, check the Advanced settings in Bluetooth Manager and make sure Use Hands-free for standard audio is checked. That should route all audio to a Bluetooth headset.
