We used to get those all the time 2 years ago. Called Crap-tel and they put a stop to "web" based text messages. Someone is just sitting there typing in phone numbers and hoping to get a few hits. Call your cell phone company & see if they can put a stop on those for you. (Hopefully you don't use those from the web).

Plus! A few months ago I get a call from a Bill Artiva on my cell phone (very few ppl have it), got my VM & he left a message:

My name is Bill Artiva. I have an important personal business matter to discuss with you. For resolution call today at 1-800-236-3796. Again that number is 1-800-236-3796.

It was a Saturday nite so I thought wrong # & ignored it. Monday a.m. my VM prompt was screaming. The "bot" called so many times during the nite that my VM was full. Had to call cell phone company change my cell phone #, call ppl with new #, set up VM again, etc. Big PIA.

So, if anyone starts getting calls from this "guy", or anyone else: then you have to do something about it, it's a big time scam to get your personal credit history.

(insert a lot of cuss words here--your choice of words--I'm easy)

Yep! He/it p*ssed me off. You should have heard me when I was with CSR when I had to call to get a new number. She kept telling me that she was working as fast as she could, etc.....

I have a photographic memory....
*just sometimes the battery isn't charged*.....

note to self: don't piss off Geekster...

it took me a while to get used to all the damn telemarketers before the "Do not call list".. but after a few months i found some ways to have fun with them :} some unknown person filing my voice mail would probably also bring out the mad upset rudeboy in me :}

I find that I get these spam messages a day or two after sending sms to my wife's phone from outlook. Don't know if it means anything.
Spam sms is not allowed by verizon from what I understand.

I have found that breathing heavy while a telamarketer is giving the speach will often shorten the conversation :-)

Spam sms should be illegal. Not everyone has a txt plan and recieving them will cost $$.
