As with everything else in life. Doing everything in moderation is the key. There can be a degree of banter that is still "on-topic", but it can eventually overpower the original point.

QFT. + i think if the OP or any participant of a certain thread is "annoyed" by the off topic chatting speak up and say so.

oh... i want to add this to the "discussion", in the home screen designer's threads i would like to see the chatter be brought back to a minimum, all the "cool screen" & "nice job" (which i in general agree with) should not clutter up the thread in my eyes.. unless of course the thread owner doesn't care :}

's ok, we got the problem fixed anyway.
This whole thing is on thin ice, it's hard to decide where to draw the line, I guess that's why motorola went the way they did with theirs. Very minimalist with a minimum of extra chatter, we answer questions and go on to other threads.
Unfortunately that's very impersonal and I don't think it would work here anyway

Honestly, with all the new "rules" I'm afraid to say any *cuss, swear, laying down some more cuss words, spit , sputter, scratch, spit, cuss some more* thing, anywhere. Sooo, since I'm special in my own little way, I am going just going to keep skipping along my merry way and (*^*^^%^&()*) all of you!
