My Windows Media Doesnt play loud enough

I guess there is no reason to feel too stupid. The truth is... although its an easy fix is not the most intuitive. Thats the whole reason we join these forums.

hold in the fly wheel and another volume bar will open up for you to make it louder

The files actually are pretty loud when they play as ringers.
It's there a setting I can change or is there something wrong with my Q?
