| I'm still having the issue and it's very frustrating. I haven't been able to find a solution, but it's not for lack of trying. It's a somewhat minor issue, but extremely annoying. I have a guy who did the integration script looking into it today. If anyone can fix it, he can. Fingers crossed!

| I log in, but then it says I'm a guest. I was still able to post this reply. There was no option for me to even try to log in until about an hour ago. I couldn't even see anything new until an hour ago. |

| Problems Here's what I saw.
On July 4th or 5th AM, I wasn't able to post or reply to threads. I could edit posts, though. I hadn't noticed the server had moved, so I PMed RudeBoy asking what the problem was.
In the afternoon, I was able to post and reply again, so it appeared that the DNS changes had propagated to my ISP. However, later that night or in the AM of the next day, I got an E-mail notice that a thread had been updated, but when I went there, there was no update and I was again stuck in no post/reply limbo. It appeared that I was again going to the old site.
Later that day, things were working again and have ever since.
Here are my suggestions for handling future moves (or this one if there are still issues): - On the old server, update the banner with a prominent "Moving" notice and a link to the move announcement.
- In the move announcement, try to post a link to the new server based on the IP address (which shouldn't require DNS resolution). If you have a dedicated server (perhaps with a static IP address), you should be able to do that, I think (something like http://123.234.012.211:80/forum maybe). That will allow people to use the new server.
- Because PMs might not work properly, post a temporary E-mail address in the move announcement for people to report problems. You probably can create E-mail forwarders, so you can easily block that address later.
- If you're going to disable new posts and registrations, I think you'd want to disable editing posts and user profiles (and maybe PMs, too). If somebody edits a post or their user profile on the old server, will that change make it to the new server? (PMs did seem to make it, but they seemed slower.)
Steve

| For those who experienced the login issue over the past week, I apologize for the inconvenience. I've spent countless hours trying to resolve the issue. Thankfully, I believe this morning I found the issue that was the culprit. As a result, I believe the fix is completed.
If you have experienced the problem, please let me know how things are working for you today. I'm pretty confident it's behind us and now I can move on to optimizing the new servers.
Thanks for your patience!
