Hyperlink (http:// type stuff) from Email/Text msgs?

Does your Q go to the browser when you click an http in a msg?

Mine doesn't

I THOUGHT it used to.

I installed Opera, found it unusable (they must think I have a touch screen? well-documented problems like "can't get to address bar" etc)

I click and it tells me "file" not found as if the association thought it were a file, not a URL.

My HKCR/.htm did point to Opera, _htmlfile_Opera so I changed it to just htmfile, stil doesn't open URLs in email or text messages.

Appreciate any ideas.
