Default Which Q?

Hi, im new here and i dont have a Q yet .... mainly because i dont know much about them yet. I have verizon and i know they have the black ones but as i shopped around (ie: ebay etc) i notice there are silver/gray ones.

does anyone know if there is a difference these days. are these the same phones that came out last year and did they come out the same time?

my daughter hates the set up- (menus) on the motorola phone. i have a chocolate phone right now and my problem with that is the size of the screen and text.

any info would be appreciated.

On Verizon, the black Q and the silver Q are 1st generation Q's running Windows Mobile 5. These came out a couple of years ago, I believe. The successor model is the Q9m, which runs Windows Mobile 6, came out last year, and has a much better keyboard and battery life, among several other improvemens versus the earlier Q1's.

You can check around, but I don't think there are any replacement covers for the Q9m. You could get a case for it that would mask its appearance . . .

Verizon now has the Moto Q9C which from what I can tell, gets rid of the red accents and the godawful dual interface they stuck on there. It also supports VZNavigator.

It looks a lot more professional too, if you ask me. Go to your verizon store and ask for the Q9C
