What do you want in your next phone

I plan to use my Q9M until it dies and I can't get support for it anymore. It meets all my needs and I'm sure it will for a while.

But, here's what it would take to woo me away:

* 2.5 mm jack (many Windows handset makers are taking this away; this distresses me; I need to charge and listen at the same time! Don't make me choose, and the adapter do not work well).

* Wifi (going to Europe in a couple of weeks, I'll have to switch to my Samsung i730 for the trip so that I can have a device with Wifi to email and download my podcasts).

* 2 or more microSD card slots. I'd take this over wifi (cause then I could use the 2 slot for a wifi card). I mean what is the problem? These things are the size of my figure nail. Manufactures can definitely fit more than one on the phone. Granted Spectec is releasing a miniSD wifi card with a slot for a microSD memory card in the next couple of month. But, future phones will probably all have microSD slots, more they should have more than one.


* Better browser of course (the Q9h includes Opera; nice).

So, that's my list. What's yours and why do you think the features I have mentioned are missing from current phones.

I'd like a faster processor and more memory. Like you said, if memory is so small, why do I have so little? My computer I just picked up for home has 4 gigs of RAM, why I am I stuck with so little in this Q?

memory..disckspace and RAM don't be stingy..it's dirt cheap now

real Java and flash that works (no hack/3rd party)

It's kind of outragous that you have java on regular phones and not on the Q. At least not on Verizon which is my career.

I too love my Q9m.

The things that I think would be mandatory to implement in next version would be:

1. Wi-fi
2. More memory
3. Faster processor

I think wi-fi is mandatory though.

Spectec will be releasing a miniSD wifi card in a couple of months with a microSD card slot. So, you can have wifi and still keep you memory card in your Q9m! It'll be like having 2 card slots.

I would love to Windows Mobile Pro (touch screen) on the Q form factor.

Also, as has been said before:
-faster processor

-wifi

The above being said, I'm patiently waiting for the 9Qc for Verizon

1. Bigger screen and touch screen
2. gps (no triangulation)
3. get ride of green, home, back, red buttons (make them part of touch screen)
only the keyboard are real keys
4. wifi - mentioned before
5. more horses under the hood (I want a ranch!)

I tried to wait, but my silver Q was giving me grief and I needed Documents to Go. I never use the music screen. I hate it. But, I do wonder how much space and speed I'm using by having that junk loaded on there.

Speaking of Windows Pro, I love having a non-Touch screen device, but if I could have a Windows Pro 6 or 7 device with the screen size and form factor of my old Audiovox XV6600, I would seriously consider going back to a Touch screen device. They just don't make 'em like they use to.
