No Keypad Backlight On Sprint Moto Q - Motorola Q Forum

I've been seeing a couple of preliminary reviews online saying that there is no keypad backlight on Sprints version of the Motorola Q, I decided to call Motorola and ask them since Sprint won't be able to give details until it is released.

After 4 transfers and a disconnect I spoke with the Moto Q dept and they say that "the backlight is defaulted to off" in Sprints version and to call Sprint to find out how to turn it on. Maybe Sprint wants their Moto Q to look more power efficient than Verizon's?

I just got my sprint q and the keypad does have a backlight. If you need any info on it please contact me. Hope fully you will se me around picking your brains in the forums.

The Sprint Q does have a backlit keyboard ..

And No it is not defaulted to off ..

Does the moto q come with keypad backlight operational??? Or do you have to program the phone to make it operational??

I am planning on purchasing a moto q. Please let me know if it comes with the backlight operational or do you have to program the phone to make it work.

The keypad is backlit and the screen is also lit when you get the phone ..

There is a button 2 spaces to the left of the space bar ..

It has an envelope/half filled in circle ..

If you hold it down then you can turn off and on the screen as you please ..

But when you get the SPRINT MOTO Q just put in the battery and please the End Call red button underneath the right softkey and it shall turn on your Moto Q =]
