I did a Google search for "lg smartphone rumors". According to theunwired.net and softpdia.com, LG is working on a Windows Mobile smartphone, using Windows Magneto as the system. It's supposed to have a touchscreen and be available in 2008.

Well the LG Voyager is coming to verizon on the 21st and that is supposed to be the first step to competing with the iphone. Maybe its also to see how people would respond to a smartphone made by LG. The Voyager isn't a true smartphone, more of an upgrade to the popular v and env, but maybe its the beginning.

If the Voyager was a true smartphone, I would get it. I don't wanna lose any smartphone capabilities, though. I played around with the Samsung i760. I like it, but not more than the Q.

I know verizon has their 700 series treo's with the 755p listed on it, but I have a feeling that with the BB's becoming more multimedia feature rich, combined with the near release of the 6800 and the success of the q9m, treo's are on their way out.

Why pay for a 400.00 device that a 100.00 device can just about do?
Sprint releasing the Q2 (q9m) is going to hurt centro sales.

I wish there could be a Motorola Q slider--3 inch touchscreen and it would slide up (like the LG Chocolate) to reveal the QWERTY keyboard.

I played with a Voyager. Didn't like it. It's just a super EnV. I have played with the iPhone, too. it's not an iPhone. LOL!

I'm hoping that it does get introduced this year. I'm due up in a few months for my "New Every Two" and was beginning to wonder what I might be getting. If this comes out before then, hopefully, that'll be what I own for the next two years.

Of Course, Verizon could screw the pooch and release it with WM6 instead of the 7 that should be out by then.
