OK so.. out of the 4 phones supposedly coming out for Verizon

800w (Rumored date for Verizon is Oct 12th 08)
Napoleon
i770 (Rumored for Verizon is second week of Nov. 08)
Q11

Which would YOU want to get? What do you think has the upper hand? I read the Samsung i770 is a definite GO and should be here the second week of November. I honestly wouldn't mind either of the 4 phones, 800w being the less desired. I hope they considered battery life and Verizon doesn't disable any features especially WiFi in the upcoming releases.

Id like to see a side by side comparison of all 4.

I agree, they act like they don't even really know what customers want. I was going to wait for 800w to come out but did not know how long I would have to wait. I am very glad I chose to try out the q because I love it!

from my q

wow, it would be so awesome if the 800w comes out on the 12th, i am so desperate for another phone (as prev. stated my orig q sucks)

BUT i think i def. want the i770 over all of them and will prob. wait for it. I want a touchscreen phone with a keyboard. Qn is cool, but the i770 looks better.

I was hoping to see the i770 in october though. where did you get these dates from?

I actually really like Palm, but the keyboard (especially that of the 800W and the Centro) is a HUGE turn-off for me. The Centro keyboard is so tiny you can't even use it, and My friend's Treo 750 keyboard is sticky and feels uncomfortable.

It's probably why I'm going to stick with Motorola because say what you want about their products but they know how to make a damn keyboard.

My apology for listing the Q11 in a release line up for Verizon.

The i770 is rumored on another thread for mid to end of Nov. They seem to be pushing Verizon reps for info. I'm just curious... would the release of the i770 cost as much as the i760 was when it was released.. like 4 hundo? They make things so expensive. I wish they would keep it under 2 bills at the most. Especially since I need to sign another 2 year agreement. I sure hope they don't overprice these new phones.

Verizon won't cancel the Q or the Q line... but they aren't going to rush the Napolean. The Napolean is being billed as a business user's phone, and I think it's specifically designed to compete with the Q9H and corporate users who leave the country frequently. I mean it's got a fingerprint scanner to protect all those company secrets for god's sake. That being said, the Q9N is aimed at a niche market, and I don't think they are expecting to sell as many of them as say... The Q9M... which can appeal to many more younger users I'd say with it's media features.

I think the Napolean will be successfull because it's slim, it has Wi-Fi and GPS, and Q's tend to be rather affordable compared to high-end blackberries and such.

I fondled one too, they are small.. Uncomfortably small.. But then again they target they're products for teenagers with stick fingers so what do you expect?

well oct. 12th came and went and no palm 800w.

i called vzw and the rep said they had not announced any smartphone/pda except for the storm which she said the announced today. she said that means it will be released in a week or two. (she also claimed not to expect the 800w or i770 because it would be announced a few weeks before release, dont know the truth to this)

but she made it clear that vzw thinks the storm is the best thing since their qualcomm phone (yeah that first digital one with the side scroll wheel that EVERYONE had)

she was saying the storm is gonna be amazing, etc, almost has me ready to buy it (keeping my 30 day option open of course)

the question is, does anyone know if i can do exchange email with NO software to install on my exchange server?
