Default Moto Qh - Will Verizon get a version of this?

I have the Moto Qc with Verizon. I saw the 9h at AT&T and love it but I don't want to switch. I need to use my phone in Europe and I'm not in love with getting a Blackberry 8830 as it requires a lot of extra work to manage the email accounts with their enterprise server.

Does anyone know if they're creating a similar model (global) for Verizon??

how do you have a vzw Q9c!?

anyways...verizon doesnt offer gloabal service other than a BB so even if a 9h-like model was out (other than the 9m) it wouldnt matter

Yeah. CDMA -- the cell technology that Verizon uses -- is big in the US, Japan and Korea but otherwise it's GSM -- the tech that AT&T uses -- almost all the way. That is the bigger part of why there is no Verizon global phone. If you go to Europe or Mexico alot it may be in your best intrests to switch to, say, AT&T.

Verizon is coming out with a Samsung global slider soon, but the BB is the only PDA like phone.

That being said, a rumor surfaced yesterday that the Sammy i760 could be coming out with a Global version on Verizon soon. Who knows if that is true.

Of course, that gives you some options on global phones but none of those will help you use your Q in Europe. I actually just bought an UNLOCKED SLVR from ebay and popped in a prepaid SIM when I was over in Europe. Downside, I do not keep the same number. Upside, you get a country local number for people to call . . . and that means incoming calls are free.

well in that case fine!

With Verizon I consider rumor "currently" it keeps me hoping and smiling, else I would fall into a fit of despair on all the phones I could have had if we had an open network in this country like the rest of the world.
