Informative H700

So I purchased the H700 from Best Buy this morning. I have not had too much time to test it out, but one thing that comes to mind right off the bat is the "30 foot range." I'm not sure where Motorola was when they tested it, but I was only able to range about 10 feet away in my house, maybe one room away. I will say that in normal weather conditions and in doors it sounds great on both ends. It is a little strange at first getting used to not having to hold a phone up to my ear. The voice recognition on my Q does not work very well, but that has nothing to do with the H700.

On a 1 to 10 scale I would give it an 8.5

Coming from Bestbuy it was a bit pricey at 100, but so far it is performing very well. Paired it once, I've turned it on and off a bunch of times and it links back up with no problems. It has dropped one call so far, but it is possible the phone dropped the call.

Buttons are great, volume is good and I have not had the microphone (muffling) issues that others have mentioned earlier.

Cheers

Default Moto HS850 & HT820

I have been using my Moto HS850 & HT820. The HS850 is nice for a quick earpiece... I love using my HT820 while listening to my 4GB of stereo tunes on the MiniSD, then it automatically pauses when a call comes in.

Granted - I look like a StarWars character with my shaved head and the BT behind-the-neck headphones - but nobody's rockin' like I am - particularly at work!

---UPDATED---
I can't wait to get the S9 headphones to use as my primary, relegating the HT820 for backup work. I won't look like such a dork driving home with that big old headset on

as i said earlier i had an h700 that was great until I lost it. so being the brainiac i am, i decided to replace it with the wep 200.you know much smaller easier to loose. anyways i havent misplaced it yet. ive had no pairing problems. good sound quality. Also I like how small and discreet it is.

I just recently started using a H500 and it seems to loose connection with the Q during the day and then when I try to reconnect the Q will not find the H500. This could also be user error. This is my first bluetooth headset so I was blown away by the freedom of being wireless and the voice quality seems real good.

I'm torn on this. When I use the voice dial on the Q itself, it works marvelously. When I try it through the H700, the voice recognition pretty reliably picks up who I'm trying to call and which number, but -- if it asks me to confirm the number -- it recognizes my "yes" maybe 40% of the time.

It's maddening.

I've replaced the H700 with another H700, same problem. Are you folks encountering this with other headsets?

I have not tried the voice dial on the Q, but through the H500 headseat it works pretty good. I have found that under settings in the voice recognition app you can set the voice recognition's sensitivity to either reject more or reject less. This may help it pick up yes more. Voice recognition is also adaptive, so it is trying to learn the dialect and adjust to your voice. I know that sounds like star wars stuff.

Well, I *hate* disabling features, but I tinkered with those settings until I found something that worked. Turning Choice Lists off and setting the Sensitivity to "Reject Less" has greatly improved my H700 experience.

Thanks for the tip!

Default Which One? Hmmmmm.

Personally, I'm fan of the motorola H-500. It's small, lightweight, very clear, good range with low background noise, and for $59.00 it's a great bargain.

I use the Samsung WEP200 Black with my Q. It works like a champ, and it's small too. Very few problems, I even dropped the headset like 15 times & still working.

Default M_h700

Couple nights ago I bought a Motorola H700 for my Q....it is a very clean & small bluetooth. I got a little discount with a travel charger for $5. Retail they are $100 for the headset I saw some places online are cheaper but I paid $90.....I stuck my neck out & I am very pleased.

It has a great multi light indicator, great functions; never have issues talking, listening to music or opening apps or voice dialing etc. Me & my cousins girlfriend are getting my cuz a bluetooth for his Blackjack for his 20th birthday this week. Last night was the major celebration.
