Q9m pairs with Parrot Easydrive well but connectivity doesn't really work

Hey guys, as the title suggests, I pair my Q9m with a Parrot easy drive that worked like a CHARM with a Motor RAZR.
When I connect the q9m with it, they connect and pair fine, but 50% of the time, when I hit the green call button on either device to make a call via the parrot, I see the voice recognition menu prompt up, but it's empty! Saying 'call bob' etc will donothing, its as if its not playing nice with the parrot. This is true if I try to use the q9m while its in my hand, but still paired with the parrot.
When I unpair with the parrot, the list is repopulated with my various options (voice dial, send text, the whole gambit) any help?
