Question power usage BT ?

another quicky.. if i leave Bluetooth "ON" but don't use a device all the time, does that use more power/battery ?

currently i'm resting w/ the idea that the Bluetooth w/ the Vaio isn't working so i'll use USB.. i want Bluetooth on because i just bought a ear-piece (
Plantronics Voyager 510)

It does use more battery, but not very much. Some people will say to turn BT off when you aren't using it to save battery, but it really isn't even worth it. I've personally done battery tests with a few different devices, and I typically got about 15 minutes of power less with BT on than with it off.

The big power killers are Receiving incoming beams, POP3 polling, and frequent syncing w/ WirelessSync/Exchange servers

No, charge away. With older batteries it may have been folly, but with the newer Li-Ion batteries it doesn't make a difference. I put mine on the charger whenever I'm at home.
