I would appreciate a solution or suggestion. I've read a ton of posts on multiple forums, and no answer yet. Thanks.

Pharos iGPS-BT II with Pharos GPS-500 receiver connected
I believe I have paired the GPS receiver successfully with the Q: I added the device via the BT manager, was prompted for the passcode and entered it.
"Pharos BT GPS II" now appears in my list of Paired Devices in Bluetooth Manager.
Google Maps 2.1.0.10
Options -> GPS Settings: I have checked "Set Manually" (as opposed to "Set by Windows) and selected COM1:
I select "Use GPS" from the Google Maps Menu
Bluetooth Manager displays a message:
"An application is attempting to open a Bluetooth Serial Port. Would you like to select a device to connect to?"
I select Yes
The Bluetooth Browser dispalys a list of devices.
One of them is Pharos BT GPS II
I select it.
At this point, the blue blinking light on the Pharos becomes solid blue, which supposedly indicates a connection.
Google Maps displays "Initializing GPS..." in upper right corner.
Google Maps hangs.
After a few minutes, the blue light on the Pharos begins blinking again, suggesting that it has lost whatever connection it thought it had.
I have a similar issue with WLS.
I've seen something about the need to check the box to "Enable advanced network functionality." This box has always been checked on my Q, AFAIK. So there's nothing more for me to do there.
I've seen a couple of posts where people claim they found a solution to their BT GPS woes at
http://www.qusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6373. Unfortunately, that server seems to be down - I don't know if it's temporary or not - and I haven't been able to pull the contents from Google's cache.
Please help. Thanks.
