I get the same answer with a different Bluetooth GPS receiver... I am assuming that there is a different way to establish a serial port connection with it than personal network? If you get an answer, I would like to hear what it is.

I can not seem to connect the Pharos iGPS BT-II and MOTO Q even though other people have said that they are able to do it.
I even got a new phone because I thought it was the phone that was busted. I tried to pair the same exact Pharos iGPS BT II and it says: Personal Network Service Can Not Be Found The service you are requesting is not supported on the device. Please make sure the device is ready and the service is enabled.
I get no passcode request.
Basically I turn on the GPS and it is flashing, then I go into the Q into BT Manager and I actually see the GPS, in fact I sometimes even see a little pop-up of what looks to be a MAC address or HEX code if I press right or left on the middle nav button. Am I supposed to download a service and install it? I have Windows Live Search and Google Maps installed but that didn't help. Any other suggestions? I even tried it on my roommate's Motorola Q and it still doesn't work. |
