Default Pairing GPS with the Q

I am having trouble getting my new Holux 240 GPS unit to work with my Q. Here is what I have tried. I have paired the GPS in the bluetooth manager on the Q. While this worked and it found the GPS there is a green question mark icon next to it in the paired devices list. I checked the serial port menu and the gps is set to com1. I enabled GPS in Windows Live and it says unable to connect. I also tried with Maps4pda (newest version) and I get a white screen with black diagnol lines. I enable the GPS through the menu and it says connected and receiving data. The only option that work from the GPS Menu is the raw data option. With this selected I can see information scrolling but selecting the location or satellites option it just says that it is connected and receiving data but nothing shows up. I have read that I might have to do a registry edit but was hoping not to have to. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Just for reference this is with a sprint q.

Try GPSCOM.exe I posted the link to it somewhere else in this forum. It helped me with the same problem using google maps.
