Default Official Jabra BT8010

I wanted to start this thread for the jabra BT8010. I just received it but I can't give a full review because I cant get it to pair....great. the phone finds it, but wont get farther than that. I have a lot to look into (firmware update?) so of course I'll update. That is all for now. Keep on checking.

Just got back from a vacation in Vegas. The jabra work fabulously with the Q. calles switchover practially instantly, BT stereo-headphone-function rules (made the flight enjoyable), I couldn't be happier with my first intro into BT technology. I was so scared (as evident in many of my previous threads) but these puppies worked out well.

Glad to hear they are working out well for you. I am waiting for them to arrive in my store....

I was planning on writing review for blog I'm building when I get mine. If you wanna write one I'll post it up and props you to your blog or site.

Questions....

Dramatic battery drain when second headset is plugged in?
Realistic battery life in stereo and mono?
Comfort level?
Second earpiece have a tendency to want to fall off similar to the original Sony stereo headsets with similar design?

Thanks a bunch.

nope. battery life on these things is redunkulous. cant get them to die. after 5 hours of non-stop stereo use (flight to vegas) it went from 4 bars to 3. OLED screen with batt indicator is PRICELESS.
Realistic battery life in stereo and mono?
Like I said, i haven't "measured" it to give you a quantitative number, but it frigging long
Comfort level?
To me its fine. I dont like in-the-ear gel thingy's. It hooks over my ear and the speaker just kinda sits there not unlike a moto 500. After a min I dont feel it anymore so I'd give it high marks.
Second earpiece have a tendency to want to fall off similar to the original Sony stereo headsets with similar design? I have no experience with the sony things you're talking about but the secondary ear piece is just a smaller version of the main one. it hooks over the ear just the same and has the same earpiece/speaker/whatever you wanna call it. Do earpieces with loops tend to fall off a lot? I don't know. these don't fall off of me.

Just picked mine up at the local Verizon store: $100 for the main unit, $25 for the stereo earpiece. (V had a 10% discount on two or more accessories, which didn't hurt.)

Pairing was trivial; our friend the 0000 code worked, as usual. Music/video switchover is painless. Comfort is fair; I'm still trying to find the best fit.

I'm intrigued by the fact that the Jabra supports two bluetooth devices; I'm tempted to shop for a Bluetooth office phone so I can use a single headset with both.

Update: It turns out that not only does the ear wire pivot, it also BENDS; now it fits comfortably and securely.

I love having conversations, music, and video soundtrack on my earpiece. And plugging in the optional right-ear extension provides wonderful stereo.

Battery life is amazing - easily 4+ hours of listening to music. Sound quality is superb.

Next step: It pairs to TWO devices, so I'm contemplating a bluetooth office phone...

Mine doesn't appear to sync in stereo? It says it goes into music mode but the sound is like an AM radio . I updated the firmware and re-synced it to the phone and it still sounds the same. Anyone else having issues with it going into stereo mode?

After this time, how would you rate the audio quality as compared to high end headphones or in-ear phones? Is it like a normal mono BT headset, i.e. a small speaker set just outside the ear canal giving at best AM quality sound for music?

I've used my mono unit music playback a couple of time & although it was convenient I wouldn't want to be committed to it. My concern is that it would be difficult to get a descent sound from that design.
