Default Moto Q9h and HOLUX GPSlim240

Finally my CoPilot 7 arrived and I was all set to use my Q9h and my GPSlim240. Although I always thought they were already talking over the Bluetooth, I was wrong. The CoPilot installed like a breeze but it would not link to the GPS.

I have tried everything that I can think of and I can not get the Q9h and the GPS to communicate. It tells me it is a "Paired Device" but it also says that of my Sony Vaio and they don't talk either.

Looks like there is a critical step I am missing in getting the two to communicate with Bluetooth. I am a newbie to Bluetooth but I have searched here and at Howards Forum to find an answer, without luck. It seems to me that it is the Q9h that does not want to talk via Bluetooth to anything. The passcodes work, they find each other, they just don't want to be friends.

Exclamation Holux GPSlim 240 and Motorola Q

I don't have an answer for you, just commiseration:
I have a Motorola Q and the GPSlim 240.

I have been able to 'pair' the two devices, but for some reason it won't work with Live Search on Windows. The devices show as paired, the GPS is powered on and appears to work, but I just cannot get it to work with Live Search.

My colleague has the Holux GPSlim 240, and all he did was power it on, his Palm Treo found it, connected, and they work like a charm.

Hoping that somebody can assist.

Default

Sorry about not following up on this hear as we did find a solution. It was the CoPilot software that was our problem.

The solution was to do a RESET of the MotoQ9h and reload the CoPilot software with the HOLUX unit. Then you do NOT pair the HOLUX and the MOTO Q as normal, rather you let the CoPilot software pair with the HOLUX once it is installed on the MotoQ.

You do have to do the RESET and reinstall the CoPilot.

If you have all these components and want the detailed instructions, let me know and I will post those or e-mail them to you. I am at a remote location now so I can not provide that detail.
