Default Modded Bluespoon Ax2

ok sorry for advertising other forums...

but this is just sexy

so here's what happened. the guy took two headsets ripped the mic from one and then put it on the ax2. i'm seriously looking into paying someone to do this for me.

there are reviews for it in that same thread

Yeah, that is a way cool mod. I saw that way back when I first got my Q. Apparently, it is not for the faint of heart though. According to the guy who did the mod, you have to solder some -very- fine wires to connect the flexible boom mic to the headset. Also, you need to have one of the Etymotics boom mics laying around, and if it is priced like the rest of Etymotics audio gear, it isn't going to be cheap to aquire. If you happen to come up with a solution in terms of parts and assembly that works well and is cost effective, please post back here. I have a Bluespoon, and while I love the fit of the thing, and the overall design, the echo problem it has was too much for me to live with. Great design overall though. Only headset I know of with a replaceable, rechargable battery. Mic is just too darned close to the earpiece, and doesn't fair well at all if there is any background noise whatsoever.

Actually the mic isn't bad at all. I have asked several people, while riding down the road, if they could tell I was using a headset. Everyone I have asked said they didn't notice accept one. And that guy said he could hear a slight fuzzyness. I'm impressed with it.
