Default How is the Q BT Experience vs. Treo??

Ok, I am considering a Q soley because the BT on the treo is plagued with disconnect bugs and I am getting increasingly frustrated. How is the BT headset experience been with Q (especially for those of you that previously owned Treos)?

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, but nevermind. After reading about all the bugs that the Sprint Q is plagued with, I will just put up with the only bug with my treo, the BT implementation...

You mean the ones listed here? Keep in mind that how few people there are complaining, all CE have bugs, but it's a minority, there will always be a few lemons.

Personally I have experienced only two bugs (Which are not listed in that initial post), that one where the phone froze, though you can still receive calls when that happens (Not related to making a call). This is not limited to the Sprint Q though. It's also only happened to me twice. The other "bug" being the text entry not being able to keep up with me, but there are a number of things you can do to fix that, and it is no longer a problem for me (Most people dont type that fast though).

I dont know about the Calls not interrupting EVDO though, I've not changed anything about that on my phone, and I have had phone calls interrupt my browsing several times. Pocket IE just stops loading whatever it was loading when I get the call prompt, I answer the call, and then go back to IE and reload what I was trying to see.

Default Ouch!

Thanks for your input - that is what I mean about bugs. Besides the horrible BT on my 700wx, it is extremely robust and fast.

Right, YMMV, other than the text entry being slow for me (Which is now not a problem) and the phone locking up twice in its early days (It doesn't anymore), my Q has been very robust and fast.

But I am an "old hand" with "Windows Mobile", going back to an old Compaq iPaq, so I have more experience than some with what to expect and how to keep things running well. Registry hacks are easy for me, and I keep half my onboard memory clear prefering to install to the storage card (except for essential apps), as well as use a Task manager to keep system resources free, and try to have as few "always on" apps installed as possible (Apps that always have a process running, if not a task).

If your really on the fence... wait a month or two. See what happens with Windows Mobile 6, the Q9, and anything new on teh Treo end.
