I'm so tired of crappy sound quality, quirky pairing, yet another battery to keep charged, and high prices. All of this just to get rid of a tiny wire? I've tried seven or eight of these devices, pairing with four different phones and Blackberries. Some suck worse than others, but they all suck to some degree.
Bluetooth is great for desktop mice and keyboards, and acceptable for car interfaces and for syncing (slowly) with a PC. For headsets, it's a waste of time and money. I will change my mind when someone comes up with a Bluetooth headset that sounds as good as a wired one, pairs with a phone just by touching them to each other, and charges the battery from the body heat in my earlobe.
I suggest you keep an eye out for our new product, the "ear buds", they fit right into your ear and theyre almost as small as a hearing aid. They go based on the vibrations when you talk therefor eliminating ALL background noise for the person on the other end, also since there actually IN your ear so it eliminates alot of the sound around you. Although they don't charge off the body heat in your ear they'll beat a wired pair anyday. So maybe you'll change your mind about bluetooth headsets after you check these out. Keep an eye out for them in about a month.
I've read a few reviews and they say the sound and microphone quality are great. But the tradeoff is battery life (where have I heard that before). The technology used to mic from the jawbone requires a lot of juice. It is recommended that the headset spends a lot of time in its carrying case instead of your ear.
It also isn't as small as it appears. I'm sticking with my Plantronics 640 (unless I can find a local store with a great deal on a Plantronics 645).
I picked up the Moto HT820. They paired right up and sound quality is pretty decent and the hands free works rather good as well. Certainly not as cool as the ear buds look though!
Besides the slight discomfort after a few hours, I love my Moto HT820's. After the few days of wierd looks at the office, nobody gives me a second look anymore. I'm actually surprised at the distance I can go from the Q and still have audio.

*Bump* Where is this thing? I'm waiting and waiting...
