Default decent Bluetooth headphones

I'm looking at maybe buy bluetooth headphones like the Sony HBH-DS970 or the Motorola S9 (upon release). Can anyone tell me how the sound quality is? How these headphones stand up to Shure E2C's with an 2.5-3.5mm adapter as far as sound quality & sound isolation?

Thanks.

I currently use the Moto HT820 stereo BT headsets right now. I get awesome clarity with my Q and I also use them with my laptop. Most likely the S9 will work EXACTLY the same minus the length of battery. Downside of the S9 is that it only lasts up to 6hrs. I haven't used the Sony yet, but have used the LG Stereo BT. Very nice also, but I still prefer the Moto, plus you get the same MiniUSB charger for vehicle or home or travel so one fits all.

The distance I am getting is approximately 40ft or so but when the RIGHT ear is out of site of the phone at that distance, the sound crackles and pops in-and-out. I WILL upgrade to the S9 when they are available since they will be awesome on the go and in the gym, however, I am keeping the 820s also. They work great for phone, and can be power cycled, reconnected to the laptop, and power cycled so they stay connected with BOTH devices...sound for laptop, then pick up a call when it comes in.

I also am picking up the new Jabra Stereo/Mono headset when it hits my store next week....too bad BT is my FAVORITE technology...this puts me on my 48th new headset I think.

Default Loving my 820s

I have the Moto 820s and use them every day at work. The sound quality is excellent, both for music and phone use when calls come in. My range is about 45' in a very busy but open office. We are the classic cube farm and I can pretty much get anywhere I need to for copiers, printers, etc.

Also, love the fact that I only need the one charger for my phone and my headphones, etc. That does make a big difference.

I would recommend them.

Does anyone know how to get the all black color S9s? Most pics and the Moto Store only show red and black, but if you go to the "Experience the S9"
interactive demo, it lets you pick an all black color. CNET also shows it in all black. THANKS in advance!

Agreed - same here. (Moto HT820) I love listening to tunes on my laptop & having phone connectivity - or both tunes & pause when on the phone while on the go. EXCELLENT!

The black S9s were the prototype models. As far as I know you can only get them in Red/Black. Mine are awesome!

I just ordered a set of the the Moto HT820's. I've been reading reviews and there have been some varying reviews. Some say the audio quality is poor. pyrobling, from your experience how is the quality when listening to mp3's? Things may be different for Q users and I wanted to get a heads up before I get them in the mail. I should have asked before I bought but I'm rather impulsive! Anyone else have the HT820's that would like to share their experience with them? I hear they are rather uncomfortable after wearing them for awhile.

Also, I was wondering, when I'm listening to music from the Q and I receive a call it should automatically mute the music correct?

Thanks for any replies.

That's correct. I've had my HT820's since last October i use them all the time w/ my Q the only trouble i've had is sometimes the headset profile disconnects and i have to reconnect thru the bluetooth manager. Also need to watch out for fake or non OEM knock offs. I think that's what i have. i paid a lot less for them but the quality of workmanship is less than expected and the volume through WMP doesn't function, only the volume controls on the unit control the volume. other than that wireless stereo headphones are a dream come true.

I will be purchasing the motorola S9's too.
