I currently use the Moto HT820 stereo BT headsets right now. I get awesome clarity with my Q and I also use them with my laptop. Most likely the S9 will work EXACTLY the same minus the length of battery. Downside of the S9 is that it only lasts up to 6hrs. I haven't used the Sony yet, but have used the LG Stereo BT. Very nice also, but I still prefer the Moto, plus you get the same MiniUSB charger for vehicle or home or travel so one fits all.
The distance I am getting is approximately 40ft or so but when the RIGHT ear is out of site of the phone at that distance, the sound crackles and pops in-and-out. I WILL upgrade to the S9 when they are available since they will be awesome on the go and in the gym, however, I am keeping the 820s also. They work great for phone, and can be power cycled, reconnected to the laptop, and power cycled so they stay connected with BOTH devices...sound for laptop, then pick up a call when it comes in.
I also am picking up the new Jabra Stereo/Mono headset when it hits my store next week....too bad BT is my FAVORITE technology...this puts me on my 48th new headset I think.
