System Tools or Repair Connect to network?

Hi, I just ordered a Q it should be coming tomorrow.

My question deals with connecting the Q to my home's wireless network.
Is it possible to connect the Q to the internet using my bluetooth enabled computer? I don't want to pay for verizon's data service...
I've seen many tutorials to do the opposite (connect computer to the internet using Q as a modem) but nothing on doing this.

Anyone know if it is possible?

Yes it is possible. I do this on the regular. Just start a bluetooth ActiveSync connection to your laptop (hopefully in the same room, but not required), and you're online. Just make sure you stick a datablock on your plan, or else if the AS connection drops (and you don't notice), you could be stuck with a monster bill.

Is there a way to tell if you're actually using your computer's connection and if it has been dropped? I'm on pay as you go now so I don't want to run up my kb/s visiting non-mobile sites.

Update: I'm an idiot, just turn the wireless radio off under the wireless manager I guess....I hope at least because I've been streaming XM for sometime now.
