No, I am telling you when you browse or explore via A/S you see two items that you can drill down to; One is my pictures and one is a symbol for "My Mobile Device" The storage card is in the root of "My Mobile Device"

I was saying that you can create a shortcut (not cut and paste) of the storage card folder into my documents if you want it to show on the first screen.

yes "we" should be.... and i was all the way in the beginning but it stopped working for some reason (probably the dongle i uses) plus i wanted to charge while the Q was connected so i use no BT for that anymore.

Default well

I'm with you Dan. But I've got no solution. I was never able to use the blue tooth dongle to synch with my Q and get past anything but "My Documents."

So I just use active synch with a cable at home and at work. Easy enough.

I use AS with dongle AND BT. I can browse just fine through AS.

As for browsing through a BT connection directly, I have no idea as I have always had AS installed and it allows me to browse.

The problem:

Mac users who use the default bluetooth "Browse Device" option to get a listing of files always end up seeing ONLY the My Documents directory. Because they are not able to look at anything other than the My Documents directory they do not see their Storage Card directory, and have no way to browse to it. This limits the users ability to transfer large files to the Q using only bluetooth. The reason that this happens is that the bluetooth driver on the windows mobile device (in this case, the Q) sets the bluetooth root to the "\My Documents" directory.

The solution:

To fix this, the user must alter the bluetooth root that is set. This value is stored in the registry. To edit the registry, you must use an additional program. I will recommend the Resco Registry application. It is not free, but has a 14 day trial. Once installed, use the application to browse to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\Serv ices\0003. Alter the key "Root" from "\My Documents" to "\". In the past, this key has been named "basedir". This was not the case on my newly purchased Q.

Once completed, try to connect again and you will see all your files, including the SD storage card.
