Can no longer use my GPS Phone : Motorola Q
Firmware: MOL2
GPS: Pharos iGPS-BT
GPS Software: GPS Utilities, Live Search, etc.
I have previously been able to use my GPS receiver with this phone. Lately, I've been installing alot of software, including Microsoft Voice Commander, which I suspect may play a part in my current issue. When I tried to use my GPS last night, I could pair the device, but when I would use one of my GPS programs (Windows Live Search, in this case), I could not get the program and the GPS receiver to "sync" together when I tried to get my current location.
I started uninstalling stuff and finally decided to do a master reset (unfortunately, I cannot figure out a way to completely wipe MOL2 off and start over from that point). The master reset allows me to pair my devices and get a lock on the GPS when I do something inside WLS that should talk to the GPS receiver. Despite the apparent "sync," WLS continues to be "Waiting for GPS."
Can anyone suggest some things I could try? I've tried known registry tweaks, master resets, and every conceivable combination I've thought of or searched for online.
Any help is greatly appreciated! |
