That's a shame, I was looking hard at this headset. Guess I'll go with the Moto H700 instead.

Still haven't heard about the "Verizon-Friendly" version coming out yet.

I went to the cingular store where i bought it and they said " Oh now it wont work with cdma phones" then they became really rude and refused to return it. I will go without a cell phone before using cingular.

Yeah, the clarity of the Jawbone is unrivaled, but like many, the connection is unreliable. Ironically, I bought one by LG and and I get the same results. The only bluetooth headsets that seem to work flawlessly with the Q iare those by Motorola.

Oh well.

Default wish I'd read this first

I just bought a Jawbone after reading all the great reviews, as well as noting that it is compatible with the Q, per Aliph's web site. I'm having the same connectivity problems described previously. Main issue is call transferred to phone after voice dialing via Jawbone. Very annoying. I wish I'd checked here first. Lesson learned.

Has anyone tried Jawbone with other Verizon CDMA phones? Same issues, or is this a Q problem? I'm getting ready to trade my Q in for something else soon, and may keep Jawbone if it will work with other phones.

Well, I may have just partly answered my own question. I just paired the Jawbone with my wife's Verizon Moto RAZR V3c and it worked fine- at least for 3 calls. No problems with pairing, voice dialing, sound quality. Worked normally. Back on Q, usual pairing trouble.

Seems to me the problem is in Motorola's yard. They should fix this.

I have a Motorola BT500. Here is the typical phone call with the Q:

phone: say a command
me: call wife
phone: did you say call Colonel Johnson?
me: NO
phone: dialing...

I just got the q9m and have had good success with the jawbone. Voice recognition is good, and haven't had any problems with disconnects during phone calls or otherwise.

Default Jawbone

I just recently bought a jawbone after reading and researching what people have said about it. I know my husband had a motorola bluetooth for another phone and i could never hear him, it was disgusting. The jawbone does have some issues, sometimes it wont connect. One issue i found was when i would receive a call i could hear the caller on the phone and not on the headset, my husband suggested to make sure to answer the call from the headset and not the phone. I tested it out a few times and it worked. When i would answer the call using the phone the headset would not work properly, but answering it using the headset seems to work great. Compared to other headsets it seems better. Yeah it is a bit pricey for something that does not always work they way it should but i would rather pay the 120 then pay 60 for the cheaper one that noone can hear me on. All the people that i call say they can hear me great and didnt even know that i was uisng the headset. My husband will be getting one also for his phone which is not a moto q, its an 8525 so i am anxious to see if we will be able to communicate effectivley. But its not bad headset, im still in my refund period and I am wondering if i should take it back but what are the options?

Just my opinion.
