Default BT Stereo Headset questions

oh, I am sure this is gonna be a few dumb questions - and I always feel like I should have searched just a little longer when I post questions.... but here goes.

I drive for a living, and I listen to my ipod while driving (about 8 hours a day or so). I also get calls while I work - and I thought it would be great to not have to carry my ipod anymore (it's all talk-radio type programs, so sound quality really isn't that important). I would like to be able to just use my Q9M for music AND calls.

So I thought I would get a bluetooth stereo headset.

So my first question would be, do the stereo headsets also have microphones, so I can speak to whoever calls (I am just assuming that they will allow me to hear the caller). I mean, with regards to phone calls, do they function pretty much like standard BT handsfree devices?

My next question is, whats the battery life on these things if I am listening to music and such all day long? I am in a car, and I have an extended battery and car charger for my phone - so that isn't really an issue... but what about the stereo headsets?

Thanks for your time

Rob

many of the stereo headsets do have microphones. I use motorola's HT820 and they say they have a 16 hour batery life with the phone's being much shorter when playing music I never had much of an occasion to test though.

I have BT headphones and yes they have a mic for the phone with volume and controls for playing music, answering the phone, hold ect.

The batteries are rechargable. They last all day for music. (short day)

The manual states the batteries will need replacement at some point. I havent been able to find out how to get them out yet. When I do Ill know what kind they are.

I just received my Plantronics Voyager 855's. I decided to give em a try, so I'll have a review later. These are both mono and stereo. The microphone works on both settings. When a call comes in, it automatically pauses my music to let me answer and resumes when I hang up.

Battery remains to be tested. The specs say they will last 7 hours talking. 6 hours of straight music listening. Will have to wait and see how that pans out.

Audio quality seems nice so far. I went with this model because it goes in the ear and seals out ambient noise better.

Again... I've only had them for a few hours. A more detailed report will come soon.
