Default BT-359 - Can't Get Google Maps or Virtual Earth Working

I've read all of the forum posts I can find on getting a Bluetooth GPS to work with a Motorola Q. I have the Q Black, with what I suppose is MOL2.

I just purchased this BT-359, from everythingQ...

I went to Bluetooth Manager, went to Add Device, it was discovered and paired.

I verified that the serial port is COM1 for outgoing. I performed the registry edits found around the forums and the web.

Google Maps says Initializing GPS then gives me an error.

Virtual Earth immediately says it can't find GPS hardware (even though I set the COM port and baud rate).

Any ideas?

Google requires a bit of tweaking to work with GPS. Head to this thread . . . there is some troubleshooting for Google and GPS
