Question Bluetooth problem

I didn't see this issue in the forums...

I have two different headsets, one is an LG, the other a Motorola (not sure of models). When I use the LG, the person I'm talking to says they get an echo. The Motorola doesn't do that, but it occaisonally decides to switch from the headset to the phone..often in mid-call. Any suggestions before I smash it?

I Have the same problem with the switching in mid call. Anyone have any ideas about this? It's frustrating to have the bluetooth on your ear, and having to hold the phone to your other ear at the same time...

gosh, i thought it was just me when my headset switches in midcall. especially when i use voice activated dialing FROM my bluetooth headset and when the phone initiates the call, it switches to the phone. this really irks me because i often use my headset only when doing things i need both hands with, like driving. and having to hold the phone up to my ear defeats the purpose of having the headset to begin with. UGH.

Default Same Problem

I too have had the same problem, the Q drops calls from the handset at random. Must be a defect in the phone since there are more of us out there experiencing this problem!!

Jeez, I found the perfect solution! All I did was buy a new phone, a Treo 700wx from Sprint, with seamless integration with BLUETOOTH by the way. I guess I should abdicate my user name and priviliges on here, huh? Lata yall...

You can google the subject or even search here; there are plenty of discussions on this topic. It is not the headset or the phone . . it is the combination of the two. I don't claim to know why.

For example, I had the same problem with my Treo 650. I did some research and found a BT headset that was perfect for the Treo and it worked great! With my Q, the headset I had went back to the same issue, even though BT pairing with my car was perfect. Again I did some research and got a BT headset and have never had the issue. You cannot blame the headset or the phone you just need to make sure you have the two that work well together.

Do you have any suggestions for a head set? I prefer one that stays on your head when you move :P
