bluetooth is glitchy and crashes all the time - Motorola Q Forum

i have a Motorola q. i also have a JVC-BT1 bluetooth car stereo. my phone connects wonderfully with the stereo and the hands free is awesome, but thats where the positives end.

i can only make about three calls then the q gets over worked and locks up. sometimes it will restart itself. sometimes it will just sit there and i have to take the battery out. it is only two calls if i am hooked up to the charger.

this is a pain. anyone have a solution.

Does the original q use BT 1.1 or or the newer more reliable version?

you have 1.2 which is the old version and unreliable.

the newer q's come with 2.0 which is 100x better.

you may want to get a vent mount and get the phone as close to the radio as possible.
When I had my treo with this version of BT, if I had my headset in ear, I had to have the phone on the same side of my body that the headset was on.

The other option it to repair the devices.....
