It's my understanding that this works, but it does not reconnect automatically as it should.

This is correct. I could get the Q to pair with the parrot. But when I turned the car off and back on, it would not repair. That is the problem.

BTW...The 3200LS has been sold. Thanks.

i think you need to wait for your phone to catch up...i have my profile on my homescreen, and when im connected to my car, it says car, when i turn my car off, it goes to my normal profile...i think you got to wait for your phone to switch before you turn your car on again...but then if it doesnt, it should only be 1 or two key pressses to reconnect...

usually it will take a few sec to establish the connection, but sometimes it does take as long as 30 secs. so it might not necessary be any problem in your set. but sorry that you have to sell (and have sold) your parrot because of this problem.

I should have been more clear I guess. I did not mean that I turned the car off and instantly back on. It did not matter if I did it in 1 minute or 1 hour, it still would not connect back. The first time I paired, my Q did indeed say "Car" under profile. When I turn the key off, after maybe 30-60 seconds, it would go back to "Normal". But, if I then start the car or put the key in ACC, the Parrot would say "connnection failed" on the screen. In order for it to work, I would basically have to repair everytime I got in the car. I just do not want to have to do that when I know it can work better. As it does with the factory head units. I am not giving up yet. Just going to be more selective and make sure I find a unit that someone else has working on US Cell with the Q.

Just a note - Profile switching has nothing to do with Bluetooth.

All 'Handsfree' is for example is a different set of sound volumes, etc.
