That one is pretty slick! If anyone is on Alltel or other compatible networks you might want to take this guy up on a good deal, you won't regret it.

Thanks lucky. If anyone is interested, email me for more details. I do not want to break any rules by posting a for sale here.

I have to manually go in to my phone and select the Parrot every time. I tried deleting the other system to see if that would fix it and no. I either have to manually go in the phone and select the parrot or enter the passcode, which still does not work every time. I am thinking this is something with US Cellular because this is the second bluetooth kit I have gotten for my Q and they both did the same thing. I returned the Kenwood Bluetooth for my indash Kenwood because I had to manually select the Q every time I started the car. The Parrot seems to be doing the exact same thing. I had to cut some wires to install my 3200 so I can no longer return it. If anyone wants a 3200 for cheaper than retail, let me know as I will most likely be pulling it out and selling it.

Back to the drawing board. Anyone using US Cellular with the Q using a car bluetooth kit that works??
Just so you know, Kenwood's new 2008 line will be out soon. They will be releasing a new bluetooth unit that uses parrot technology. Check it out here. Its on page 5. See the Parrot symbol. Makes me happy since I just bought the ddx-512.

I have been looking at their new stuff. Looks really good. I just do not know if it will help me out or not. I have got to figure out why I can use my Q with factory integrated bluetooth systems but not with aftermarket.

I'm the sort who only believe logic and unfortunately it doesn't appear logical that bluetooth connectivity is affected by the a gsm/cdma reception. Do you have any software installed in your Q, or have you tried all these connectivity steps with a plain Q (i.e. no third party software installed or whatsoever)

The only thing I have added was Windows live to be able to push mail. Other than that, it is just like it came from the factory.

And I do not doubt your knowledge at all. I really know next to nothing about all the cell technology. I am just trying to use a process of elimination to figure out why my Q will not work with aftermarket products. There has to be something in common.

When you go to bluetooth manager, and navigate to handsfree, can you click on 'connect' to establish bluetooth connection with your parrot?

to eliminate the possibility of phone network causing the bluetooth connectivity problem, turn off your phone network while keeping your bluetooth on. Try and connect your parrot and see if you still have problem. It should not work and I would be surprise if it does (because that'll show there's some peculiar conflict)

if you dont mind the trouble of hard reset, I would suggest that as the last resort to confirm if there's any software conflict.

my stereo sees my Q instantly, no problems at all...make sure you have bluetooth on when you start your car, makes a difference...also, it seems that if i change cds, or put the car into accessory before i fully start the car, it has a little more trouble seeing my phone, but nothing three key presses on my phone cant handle..

I had a Bluetooth stereo made by some V something or other company and although it looked good and sounded good, I couldn't get it to either stay paired or pair at all. Every other handsfree I've tried (other than the Jawbone) worked great with my Q.

So that being said, I really think it comes down to:
1. The handsfree hardware/software
2. Phone hardware
3. Carrier modifications to software

you realised that Q9h is running on broadcomm BT stack, which in my opinion is far more superior than the MS stack, in terms of robustness and reliability.

So if your BT handsfree is not connecting automatically, try to initiate a BT handsfree connection (BT manager > handsfree > select the handsfree device > press connect) and it doesn't work, something is really wrong here.
