Sorry, but I'm not buying anything until I find out it works with Verizon. From my exhaustuve searches on all forums in EverythingQ, it seems as if not one single person with a Verizon Q has ever successfully used a bluetooth car unit.

P.S., Verizon is one of Altell's enemy geeks on the commercials.
I find it very strange that Verizon can control all the non-telco features in a client device like Q9h!

bluetooth, media playback, wifi, etc has nothing to do with telco/telephony capabilities and there's no reason why they should block such features! They should have no control over making its own subscribers to pay for such features since they DONT own such features!

Really? Then why prey tell is there absolutely no one on this forum with a Verizon Q working with a Parrot device with caller-id? Why are the Parrot forums filled with Verizon Q owners complaining that caller-id does not work?

Yeh, I'm gonna run right straight to the store to shell out $200+ on a Parrot device with how much confidence that it will work with my Verizon Q9m?

NOTE: Verizon doesn't offer the Q9h. It's the Q or the Q9m.

Must I state again that only people with working units should post on this topic. Stop guessing saying what you think. I only want to know what you know for sure from experience.

Maybe you need to start your own thread since the original poster is looking for options for his Q on US Cellular... not Verizon.

it works for me. and my experience tells when caller ID doesnt show up on the bluetooth device, it has nothing to do with telco.

Well, I finally got my 3200 installed and good news and bad news. It worked the first time out of the box. Paired up and everything was good. Now the bad. Turned the car off and back on to see if the 3200 would pair back with my phone. NO it did not. I have another bluetooth system in my wife's car paired as well and it always defaults to it. I have to manually go in to my phone and select the Parrot every time. I tried deleting the other system to see if that would fix it and no. I either have to manually go in the phone and select the parrot or enter the passcode, which still does not work every time. I am thinking this is something with US Cellular because this is the second bluetooth kit I have gotten for my Q and they both did the same thing. I returned the Kenwood Bluetooth for my indash Kenwood because I had to manually select the Q every time I started the car. The Parrot seems to be doing the exact same thing. I had to cut some wires to install my 3200 so I can no longer return it. If anyone wants a 3200 for cheaper than retail, let me know as I will most likely be pulling it out and selling it.

Back to the drawing board. Anyone using US Cellular with the Q using a car bluetooth kit that works??

do you have a working phone that has no problem with parrot? If so, use that sim card and put in your Q to confirm/dismiss your speculation that the US cell network is screwing up the BT connection which I doubt so (but I don't reside in US, so I can't test for you)

another thing, did you have other BT phones lying around when you are trying to establish connection with the Parrot? WM phones can't co-exists with other BT phones like Nokia or SE, for handsfree connectivity.

Thanks for the reply. There were no other phones around when I installed the parrot. I do not have another phone on hand to try the sim card. You may be correct in that it is not US Cellular. However, it would seem to be the Q or US Cellular as both kits I have tried (parrot and Kenwood) both exhibit the same problem in not auto-connecting after turning the engine off and then back on. The odd thing is the factory stereo's in both my wife's FX35 and my Acura MDX have built in bluetooth and the Q works just fine with them every time. May be more than just a Q or US Cell. issue.

Dang, sorry to hear it's not working out.

I just got my new Parrot installed Friday after work and my Q pairs great with it. (Not to put salt on the wound.)

I can only report success with Midwest Wireless and Alltel.

No problem. Glad yours is working. The 3200LS seems to be a great piece just not for my setup. I love all the features it has.

zenkinz does not think it is a US Cellular issue but, I have yet to hear of anyone running US Cellular to get a parrot kit working. That is basically why I am assuming it is them.
