A little update:

Just to show you how much I like my Parrot I just ordered another one for my Suburban, even though my Garmin nuvi navigation unit was fully capable.

Bonus with the Parrot is that the radio doesn't even have to be on to work and regardless of what input it's set to I'll get my calls.

I did get the GM adapter, I wouldn't do the install without it - 100% plug and play, no wires to cut/splice.

Default Lucky13MN

Lucky13MN, regarding your setup, you failed to mention which Q provider you have. I have Verizon and Parrot forums say Verizon Q's do NOT work well with any of their products. Verizon loves to block functionality that is not part of their business model (i.e., they can't charge for it). My guess is that you are Sprint and that us Verizon people are out of luck.

No Sprint here... Alltel, which is very close to Verizon (in fact there's talk of Verizon buying out Alltel now that Alltel bought out Midwest Wireless).

I can't say yes or no but blocking Bluetooth functionality from a Bluetooth phone would be kind of odd.

The Parrot can be rather difficult to install without the proper harness or knowledge, though.

Basically, if a Bluetooth headset works for you then so should the Parrot kits.

Default Alltell is nothing like Verizon...

Verizon's business model is to charge you for as many features as possible and they are not embarrassed to say so in court. Verizon lost a class action suit specifically involving blocked bluetooth functions on the V720.

Sorry, but I'm not buying anything until I find out it works with Verizon. From my exhaustuve searches on all forums in EverythingQ, it seems as if not one single person with a Verizon Q has ever successfully used a bluetooth car unit.

P.S., Verizon is one of Altell's enemy geeks on the commercials.

So here's Motorola who is barely hanging on, who has this sweetheart deal for a phone with Verizon. This phone is feature rich and Moto thinks when the public gets a hold of it, it can help save their handset business.

But Verizon wants to sell the rolls cheap and make money on the butter, so it cripples the phone so that you have to buy things from Verizon instead of utilize the enhanced multi-platform connectivity that Moto built into the phone.

Here's the Verizon page announcing the settlement of the class action suit brought against Verizon by people who bought phones and accessories based on Verizon and Moto advertising claims but later learned the phones wouldn't work as advertised.

Now I don't feel so ripped off paying 4x more for phones than Verizon subscribers.

But... like I said, if one headset works then this 'should' work as well.
