The best thing is people do not know I am on a headset. That has not happened before when I was using a H700 headset.
want to sell me your 8300 battery?
I need a replacement for my father.

Anyhow everyone look in my profile to join the 520 group!

I had the JB2 for about a week but returned it because my cheek couldn't activate the noise cancellation feature unless I held it to my face. I went through the entire Plantronics line-up and I think the JB2 is still the best (even with the noise cancellation working all the time) so I'm buying another one. I'm wondering how well that custom earpiece works. Do you feel like it's a tighter fit than with the standard parts? Or, maybe I should just wait and hope that the Invisio with the earbone sensor gets U.S. approval.

The custom earpiece does a fantastic job of securing the JB2 in place, and insuring the sensor maintains skin contact. I tried the included ear loops and various sizes of ear pieces, as wells as jabra ear gels, but nothing worked as well as the custom ear piece. The JB2 + custom ear piece make this the best headset I have owned (I most recently flirted with the plantronics 520).

I use the Blueant Xe micro and I love it. The only issue I have with it is that the ear hook gets loose after time, and tends to fall down instead of staying in one position. Fortunately, the X3 micro comes with a spare...and you can also buy a pack of four for around $10.

The X3 micro doesn't have the annoying echo feedback when talking to someone that most of the other bluetooth's I have owned do.

Overall, an excellent headset for a great price.

Check out www.pricegrabber.com to find a good deal on any bluetooth headsets...I got mine for $38.

Hey John,
Thanks for that info. I'm still using the Plantronics 925, but I'll replace it when the Jawbone II comes out in Silver. I'll try out the custom earpiece. I hope it works. That's a lot of dough if it doesn't hold it firmly enough for the sensor to work. Pretty stupid that JB doesn't have a solution.

Well, ain't such thing as 'best headset for Q'. Headsets are for the user. The connection protocol on all modern sets is about same, meaning about any of them will pair and work. So it is really about comfort and sound clarity.

For me, sound quality was very secondary. I mean gotta understand each other, sure, but super crystal clear with cherry on top is entirely optional. Now the issue of comfort is a whole other ballpark. It must be the shape of my ear but I simply can't stand having anything stuck into it for more than 5 minutes without developing a headache. I dunno, maybe some custom gel would work - but the gels I tried were no dice. Can't use in-ear headphones either. This meant finding a no-earbud headset. A rarity, by the way. Motorola got one, but it has a ghastly hinged earloop that causes headset to flap around. Speaking of earloop, it had to be something slim so it did not interfere with sunglasses, yet firm so securely held the bud-less headset to the ear. Had to be adaptable for left ear, and had to be small. (By my standards, Jawbone is a monstrosity)

My final choice? LG HBM-550. Thin but very secure earloop, a smooth bump instead of earbud, extremely tiny and lightweight, and its gloss black/matte silver coloring matches my Q perfectly. Sound is more than acceptable.
