    |  1 setting question girls & boys, here is my question of the day: i use my BT headset daily and it works great.. now here is the actual question: can i turn OFF "Allow other Bluetooth devices to see this phone" & still use my headset and if i do would that save battery life ? thx in advance..

 |  Yes and logically yes, but I don't think so. I never had the setting turned on and used my HT820 set with no problems. I installed Vista last month and have since turned it on since it's now much easier to send files back and forth between my phone and Vista using OBEX. However, since I've had it on, I've not noticed any change in battery life. I think that setting just turns on the phone sending an "ACK" whenever a discovery request is made. |
