nice, maybe the Amp'd-branded version of Windows Mobile will be a little more user-friendly as far as viewing music and videos (no need to install / configure 3rd party apps out of the box)

well im sure they wont need any gps receiver to use for say googlemaps since there service already contains that function...or is that boost?

Not sure if I'd trust Amp'd service. They're not a "true" carrier, as in they don't have their own network / infrastructure, but piggyback off the towers of other people's (VZW's EVDO network). Their target audience are the MTV-savvy 18-35 demographic, so they focus is on playing viral videos and MP3's on your phone and music ringtones.

i juszt tride to sign up for ampd and realized they are garbage check this out i called them to try and sign up they said i had to do it online ok so i go to there website and so i sign up then at the end of my purchase it said we are sorry but we were unable to process your credit card...never said why i had more than enough funds on the card and worst thing is that they did a pre authorization for that amount and now the funds are not available for me to spend anywhere else they aid i had to wait 7 to 10 days for my funds to re appear on my credit card....they never cared for my business as a first timer with them i didnt even get to find out if my credit went thru....i honestly would never trust them again or any phone company that asks for ur credit card before checking to see if u even qualify...thats a scam...why dont they take orders over the phones ima stick to alltel.

Most businesses will not tell you why a card is declined. There is some type of civil liability about discussing your credit with you. You will have to call your credit card company and ask about that.

LoL !! I had the same exact problem with Amp'd .. I didnt get a credit card declined screen I on the other hand was directed back to the homepage. I then attempted to reach out to someone in customer care to ask ... if my order was processed. Since i never recieved a confirmation page / email .. I had no luck with the first FOUR people ... when trying to retrieve info as to where my 228.00 went .. no one could tell me .. i was transferred and given incorrect telephone numbers ... and finally I called my Bank .. Washington Mutual .. I was able to get mymoney back INSTANTLY .. Sounds like u bank with one of those small banks buddy. I dont know what was wrong with me but the Red Flag should have been the LACK of customer service skills as well as long hold times. I then decided to try a third party vendor .. Wirefly.com ... Despite the fact I hate that who ever i was speaking to was obviously NOT in the united states ... they got my phone order processed and I got it in 2 days .. would have been next day but i was dealing with those idiots in there customer care department. So if you really want the phone .. and mind u the service is great.. Yeah we all know they piggy back but oh well.. atleast its piggy backing Verizons Network ..and i pay LESS for unlimited data then verizon customers better rate plan and unlimited text /MMS .... yeah "ITS THE NETWORK"!!
