I am a former Nextel/Cingular customer being as i worked for both organizations and there service for the most part was free. I was intrigued by Amp'd Mobile and thought I would try them out since they got a phone (The Q) i was interested in. However, when trying to purchase directly from Ampd was a disaster. Warning ... if it all possible do not purchase directly from Ampd. There system has a bad habit of charging you for the device but not processing the actual order. Avoid calling customer service when possible. We all know that they are relatively a new company however, there is obviously no Quality Assurance department and a supervisor is non existent. It appears that the work force for Ampd is basically a bunch of teen agers or possibly some kids straight out of high school who have been known to hang up on people which adds to the frustration when you are waiting in Que to speak to someone for well over 20 minutes, there online customer service is a joke as well. As long as i kept the browser open the closest i got to speaking to someone was being number 43 in que. But back, to my story about tryin to get answers for the order I placed with them and no one was able to give me an update on where my money went. End result was calling Washington Mutual to reverse the authorization on my credit card and going through a third party vendor .. Wirefly.com. Overall my experience with them was great minus the fact they have OUTSOURCED there call center to India or some place, so if you dont have an issue with someone who tries to make you think they are here n the United States and sounds like a robot go for it. The bad part about the Q is .. it freeeezes !!! I had to call Wirefly who sent me a brand new Q next day ... to see if this resolves the issue.
