Why does everyone hate Alltel?

The new Q will be out sometime in the first quarter of this year.
There will be NO rebates or incentives for current Q owners to upgrade.
If you are not up for a renewal for a 2 year contract then you/we/I will have to pay full price for the new Q.
And then posted a link http://www.alltel.com/phones/index.html to check regularly for their latest promotions. At least we have confirmation that they are getting a new Q and it will be sometime the first part of this year. So, that's something, I guess.
Not "bring on the band" news ---lets have a parade. More like "let's light a candle and put it in the middle of floor so we can dance around it".

Simple really, No MMS for Q from Alltel! Thats probably the gayest thing they could have ever done!!! Oh but wait soon you can go buy a new Q to do that! Eventually they will get all your money!! Fah-Q Alltel.

i love alltel i have the q on the alltel u pay per day, i get unlimited nights and weekends and free texting. i guess its different for everybody cuz i use the internet on my computer and i dont pic message i just text. alltel has been great ( 15 days) hope i didnt just jynx myself...

I need some advice on alltel versus verizon for the upcoming q9c. I currently have verizon here in Nebraska. While alltel's service here is also good, I travel nationwide and have never had a problem with verizon's coverage or call quality. It appears that both carriers will have the q9c soon.

For a family plan with the features I want, I'm looking at $180 monthly on alltel versus $215 montly for verizon. And verizon has a habit of crippling phones. Then again, I understand that verizon's customer service is better and that alltel doesn't allow upgrades until the entire 2years has expired.

Would any of you current alltel users recommend I stay with verizon, or are you satisfied with your service?

There are good and bad with every provider.
Alltel is:
the last in line to get any new, neat phones.
their record on tech support for the Q is a little lacking but they are catching up, slowly.
But:
The deals on contracts are cheaper
They rent towers from Sprint, Verizon, & Bell Tech so they have the same basic coverage.
they don't not "cripple" the phone so it's very easy to customize.
The tech support is good (sometimes you just have to hold your ground)
And!!! For the last 2 days we haven't been getting duplicate text messages! By Jove Watson, I think they got it (fixed)!!
