 |  using q as modem i tried searching, but couldn't find much that didn't talk about verizon. i'm an alltel user w/ smartchoice/unlimited data plan. do i really need pdanet to use my q to get online w/ my laptop? i drive a truck all over the country, and would like to get online (dialup or broadband) w/o having to get an aircard. |

| You don't HAVE to use Pdanet, but there is much debate as to whether there is an extra $10 for the tethering on Alltel. I've decided to brave it and have modem linked my Q a couple of times (using the driver cd that came with my Q) I'll update on my next bill whether or not it burns minutes or has extra fees. |
