My Q gets locked when trying to assign ringtnes to contacts. I have used a hard and softreset, I have aso used master reset; does anyone know of anything else I might try? HELP!!!

possible... my sounds stopped playing a few weeks ago, across the board.. the only way they would still play was when i got a call/alert, tried a lot.. ended up doing the MR.

the OP never said if the sound files were the default ones or from some other source

No, maser did not fix; again it only locks when trying to change the ringtones. It sucks because I have no internet connection right now, I'm using my Q for online access to class. Thanks for the reply.

what does the ring problem have to do with internet access ?
what ring-tones are you trying to select, default (that came wiht the Q) or custom ones ?

I was trying to set a ringtone to a contact, and when selecting the sound option the Q locks; as far as internet goes loading has been slower. Thanks

what we were trying to find out was... did the ringtone come with the phone?

how much free memory do you have? this may affect both of your issues

The ringtone came with the phone, just trying to put contacts back after MR. I have plenty of space on the device as most junk is on my 1gb scan disk. thanks
