problem tethering Q

I am trying to tether the alltel Q using window xp home. when trying to install the modem drivers I get an error stating

"The software you are installing for this hardware: Smartphone Wireless USB Modem has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify it's compatibility with Windows xp. This hardware will not be installed. Contact your system administrator."

if anyone can assist me with getting past this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

are you installing it from the CD? Make sure you have admin privledges when installing it.
