Default problem sync sent email folder from q to pc

the q is interesting. i set up a pop email account that shows up as another option under outlook. i can recieve and send emails OK but when i go to sync windows mobile device center does not sync either the newly set up inbox or sent messages back to my laptop outlook. the inbox is ok since i get those later anyway when i log on to my pc and download messages but the sent messages from the q need to get back to my pc

when i go to folders> sent items>menu>manage folders it lets me choose sync for the sent folder but when i hit done it does not save it as sync ready. (it does not give me the option to do it for any of the other folders like inbox, drafts etc.)

set up is Vista office/outlook 2007 and windows mobile device center 6.1

I am not using office synch from alltel and it looks like the q uses active synch on the phone to interface with windows moile device center

help appreciated

I just had this thought. i set up the email account AFTER getting the synch relationship established. maybe i will delete and re establish the synch relationship.

Default Thanks

for the quick reply. I have seen some discussion about an addon called Flex Mail but do not know if this will solve it or not.
FlexMail - Pocket Outlook alternative (http://www.pocketinformant.com/produ...php?p_id=mail&)

I could set the account up as IMAP do you know if that would that work any better? (in regards to sync sent files)

i think imap falls under the same category...im not sure i dont use it

flexmail is an entire program not an add on
its large...very large...and i dont know if that syncs the sent folder either
never got that far with the app...it was to big and slowed down my device alot..other members love it

give it a shot

Default My synch solution

FWIW. I decided to set up another email account on my PC Outlook and .cc to this address for all the emails I send from the Q. Then I can just do a "move to folder" command to get them to the sent folder on my PC Outlook.
I am still befuddled that the people that wrote the OS/sync program did not take into account us people that actually want to sync SENT EMAILS. Seems lke a no brainer to me.

well its the sent folder in outlook that sends..so if you had an exchange account it would work as you want but just not for created pop/imap accounts

you can always create a rule in outlook to automatically move them so you dont have to
