 |  Internet is Sooo..Slow... i think i am getting ripped off for my 30 bux for the unlimited data plan... the net browsing is slow as ever i cant even log in in certain pages because time out gets at me first. Even at full signal strength its slow...can someone help me out here ? does it have to do with my settings? or is it just a plain slow alltel? i feel like im over paying here for this..  |

| The Internet is Only the Highway Sure don't want you to think that I am poking fun at you when I say that the internet is only the highway, and your Q is your vehichle; as such it is subject to traffic patterns, be they smoothly flowing or in your case jammed. When are you experiencing these jams--is it always or only at certan times of the day or night. I ask because I have experienced them, too. Being a four-month Q owner has given me the opportunity to see that not all times are good for being online; and payday Friday, or Sunday evenings here in Austin, Texas with Sprint is, as you say, so slow!! It took a lot of thought on my part to implement the speed hacks detailed in these forums--that and moving my e-mail and browsing history cache to SD have made a BIG DIFFERENCE in how my Q operats and runs. I don't have to continually dump old files to free memory (best check that first) and as a result everything is so much faster. And I do mean FASTER. This thing is h-o-t! Maybe this wont help you much, but at least you know someone else had the same issues and has solved them to satisfy himself. Good Luck and May the Speed be With You! | i've never seen an evdo thing on my phone before =x i always see the 1x.. ive gone through and clear my cache and temp files and it still slow at all times =( ive used it during the day and night and the speed seems the same. for example earlier today i tried to access wachovia.com and it took about 4mins to load up the home page  and then when i get there and login sometimes it wont even log in it says connecting and then stops (no opening msg) and this page i used to browse and login to check my acct status all the time. also myspace...im sure some of you have done it on your Q well for me it used to let me login just fine. now when i log in it sends me back to the login page but without no wrong user ID or wrong password. its just it just reloads the login page...are there any other browsers i can use besides IE...i dont even use IE on my desktop cause it sucks monkey balls =x thanks guys! |
