Alltel's EvDO maps are here:

On sprints maps just give it you location and then it will give you a map. To see EvDO coverage besure to click the broadband check mark.
Basically the datacard/treo PRL will give you coverage on Alltel's Ev first, if Alltel isn't Ev in that area then it will fall back to Sprint Ev, then Alltel 1x then Sprint 1x and so on.
You shouldn't get roaming charges. Treo's with the same plan don't get charged. I need to check my bill and see if I have any charges. I think I have been a full month on PRL 40007 now. I have been all over the place too and had Ev everywhere. I was racing at Roebling Road Raceway (west of Savannah GA) over the weekend and had EvDO service. I was there last year and could hardly even place a voice call let alone do Ev Data. The weekend before that I was at the Ritz in Amalia Island and had Ev service too. I was there a for the Concours d'Elegance in March this year and had bad service too. So this PRL is an improvement.
