Default Alltel plans ...

So ... I've been with Alltel for 5 years or so and I realized, especially now that I've upgraded to the PDA phone, that I'm giving them a lot of money. I think I'm doing alright as far as what I'm getting but ... here's what I'm looking at:

1300 Anytime Minutes $49.95
Data Plan $29.99
Unlimited SMS/MMS $14.99

So ... I pretty much have everything I need but it comes to just over $100 a month with tax and all. I could go to a cheaper plan but I'm getting a killer number of minutes for the price (I think).

What plans are you guys on and should I be feeling like I'm getting ripped off?

Do you generally use all of your minutes? If 500 minutes would suffice, you could the $89 dollar smartchoice plan, you would need nothing else as you get data and unlimited texting. I have the 1200 min. plan for $109 and never come close to using up my minutes.

I have the $89 500 minute plan and also have 3 phones on the plan. With the circle we still do not go over 500 minutes.

I have been very happy with Alltel (for 11 years) but the Sprint SERO plans are very tempting.

I priced up a plan for $66 (before taxes) that would give me 1250 anytime mins, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited data, unlimited text and insurance.

The base plan was 49.. all I added was the insurance ($7) and unlimited text (10).

They also sell the Q with this plan for $99 and I didn't see anywhere that it said you had to mail in for rebates. It looks like it is flat out $99. I also didn't see anything about how long the contract is. I didn't get far enough in the process to see this I guess.

No one has a plan that even comes close to this.

Check it out here:
Sprint.com/SERO

SERO = Sprint Employee Referral Offer

To get in you just need a Sprint employees email address (Google) or an Amp'd Mobile email address (*@ampedmobile.com?). Sprint is trying to snatch up some of the Amp'd refugees so they are offering this plan to them too. Hopefully Sprint will get the few Amp'd customers that actually paid their bill. hahaha.

Sorry to post this in an Alltel form I just can't get over how insane this deal is.
