Default Alltel has much better deals and value

I don't know about you guys, but i believe Alltel has everyone beat in all areas with MyCircle. Act. Fee only $25 dollars for new customers as opposed to $35 and more elsewhere. For basically $59.99 a month for a stand alone line, you can have pretty much unlimited minutes on a good carrier. 900 anytime (like everyone else at this pricepoint) unlimited nights/weekends/mobile to mobile (like everyone else) AND unlimited calls to any ten numbers with mycircle! (BETTER than everyone else) what more can you ask for?? And in addition to that, they allow you to change your rate plan at any time, with no contract change, and offer the largest geographical network in the country.

For data plans, $89.99 month gets you unlimited text, 7pm nights, unlimited data internet time, unlimited nights/weekends/mobile, and 500 anytime minutes along with mycircle, which there again, gives you as many minutes as you'd ever need. Beating the rest of the industry. Additional lines cost $20 a month, and include 7pm nights, and unlimited text as well.

For regular family plans if you text, you can get two lines at $79.99 month, with 1000 anytime, unlimited Nights/weekends/mobile, 1000 text/pic/video messages per line, and of course, MYCIRCLE. Ten numbers for free! what else could you ask for, and if you don't need or want text, for $69.99 month you can have two lines with all of the above, except the 1000 text, and you have 900 anytime minutes, instead of 1000. with mycircle I have seen 5 line sfamily accounts come in using only 300 anytime minutes a month, but over 8000 minutes in their circles. What other carrier can offer that? Tmobile has tried, but they only give you 5 numbers, and take away your mobile to mobile minutes.....tisk tisk.....You guys should check alltel out, or continue to get ripped by the man.

Wow! I am going to check this out. I've been a customer of Verizon since it bought AirTouch... nearly 10 years. But new VW customers get better breaks than I do. Okay - I'm going to look into Alltel. Thanks for the info and comparison data.

there's not even an alltel store / kiosk in my area and I don't know how their coverage is . . . in fact, no service is offered in my neck of the woods.

According to this coverage map from the Alltel website, there are large sections of the country without coverage, so this is definitely not the best choice for everyone.

What else could you ask for? How about 30 dollars a month for unlimited n&w at 7, 500 anytime minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data unlimited picture messaging, and unlimited sprint mobile to mobile. Only downside is no my circle, but for the extra 30 bucks, i can do without my circle. THANKS SPRINT!! LOVE YA LOTS!

Whoa man, that is totally not the coverage map for alltel, ha ha.

you have to go to http://www.alltel.com/personal/wirel...ndividual.html and click on the view larger map to get the actual service map. It is a really good service. If there are no kiosks in your area it kind of sucks, but you would probably still have service there however if you can get ahold of a phone through customer service at 1-800-alltel1, or this website.....but the website doesn't pay anyone commission, so better to go in the stores, but if no stores, call the number and they still get commission.

yeah thats all good and dandy, but most people will use more than 500 anytime minutes per month. for 40 dollars, you can get that at alltel, but 60 gets you near unlimited minutes, which works better for alot of people who use their phones more.

When did the Verizon Wireless Forum become an Alltel commercial? If I needed the rates and plans for various providers, this is not the place I would come to get them. Do you happen to work for Alltel? You definitely seem to have vested interest...

Or, in my case, the map and reps say there is excellent coverage in my area. Then I sign up have awful coverage, put in trouble ticket, wait for 3 weeks for them to say the whole town is low coverage area so now i'm stuck for 2 years paying for a service i'm not getting. When u ask tech suppt. if they are going to fix it, they don't know, give the runaround etc. Don't believe the hype or the overly corporate positve responses you see here. What good are all the minutes if it doesnt f.*^*( work!! Now, I feel better after venting.
